Welcome!
I am so excited that you have decided to create space for yoga practice in your life.
Everybody is welcome - whether you are a complete beginner or have been practicing yoga for a long time.
I once heard this amazing quote that said, "In a world addicted to speed, slowing down is the real superpower." - and that truly defines one of the many reasons we should choose to practice the limbs of yoga. Taking time in your day to consciously pause and reflect on how you are feeling and what is important to you gives you the chance to reconnect with yourself. And if we make it a regular practice, we can improve our well-being, and find out what it is that we seek in life, our purpose.
Yoga is not a magic trick. But showing up for your practice will equip you with tools to manage your emotions well, and improve your relationships with others (and yourself!). Through asanas (yogic postures), pranayama (breath work), and dhyana (meditation), you'll learn to use your breath correctly and make your body strong and flexible which will lead to good physical and mental health.
My goal as an E-RYT200 certified teacher is to create a safe, inclusive space on the yoga mat for your personal growth through movement and mindfulness. I will be honored to be your guide on your journey towards feeling great in your body and mind. Let's meet on the mat!
